Uganda Reduces Gorilla Permit Fees

The Uganda Wildlife Authority has lowered the fees for gorilla permits in the coming low season.

From the information that has reached our correspondent, last week that the Uganda Wildlife Authority has confirmed the reduction of the prices of gorilla tracking permits during the month of November to both East African residents and foreigners.

The announcement of the offer coincides with the Uganda Golden Jubilee celebrations of independence. The move has been welcomed by tourists and the tourism fraternity at large who will get an opportunity to enjoy mountain gorilla trekking at a subsidized price in Uganda national parks which ranks among the absolute highlights of African travel experience.

The promotional prices apply for visitors wishing to track gorillas within the months of November 2012, April 2013 and May 2013. The discounted Uganda Gorilla permit prices are as shown below;

Gorilla tracking permits are valid for one walk per day in Bwindi and Mgahinga National Park. Permits can be bought directly from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) headquarters (7 Kira Road, Kamwokya next to Uganda Museum, tel: +256 414 355000, info@ugandawildlife.org, www.ugandawildlife.org) and booking in advance is essential.
