Golola Moses of Uganda, the top celebrated kick boxer, knocked out Thailand born fighter, Wathaporn Kamunstorn in just 50 seconds to take home the World Kick boxing Federation (WKF) K1 champion in the light weight category. This much attended event was held at the Kati Kati gardens in Kampala.
Like he did to Titus Tugume, a year ago, Golola landed his “lucky punch” at the lanky Wathaporn and within just 50 seconds, and the fight was no more! At this time there was mixed reaction from the crowd some praising Golola while others feared for Wathaporn’s life Kamunstorn who was laying unconscious within the ring for close to 10 minutes as he visibly struggled to catch his breathe. The medical doctors teamed to save his life as Golola was jubilating from his corner.
After the fight Golola said “I thank God for this victory. I am the true rock boom. Like David Vs Goliath, the person with the best weapon always wins. I did not go to Mabira for nothing. I thank the Kick boxing officials, my trainers, my promoter, the fans and the media”.
He went on and also verbally attacked fellow kick boxers, Ronald Mugula and Titus Tugume calling them “chapati dealers”. Tugume was part of the crowd that attended the event.
Today Golola stands out the new World Kick boxing Federation (WKF) K1 champion in the light weight category and his personal record stands at 26 fights, 20 victories (15 of these knock outs) and 6 losses. On the other hand, Kamunstorn has now fought 71 fights, 52 victories (25 knock outs) and now 19 losses.
